Jackie Fung

Studio Director

Jackie has worked with Studio VARA since 2014 and is currently the Studio Director of the firm. She has over 20 years of experience, having worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City, with firms large and small. She is licensed in California and New York and is a LEED Building Design + Construction accredited professional. She attended architecture school at the University of Southern California, where she lived in the iconic Gamble House as a Scholar-in-Residence.

Her project experience extends from transit stations and airport concourses to high-end retail and residential remodels. She enjoys coordinating the disparate requirements on the larger projects and working through details with builders and craftspeople on the more intimate ones.

Jackie savors the solitude of early morning runs and likes spending time with her family and relatives who live in the area. She has recently taken up rock climbing to keep up with her two daughters, who she is ‘training’ in the finer arts of eating out.
