The constant use of visual communication tools to convey complicated and sometimes ephemeral information is what Havel likes most about being an architect. When Havel is not at work, you can find him in a park, bowling, fishing, and eating.
Havel is a San Francisco native, who received his Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In 2016, he received the Vellum Furniture Competition Award for best use of wood in a project. Havel’s favorite project to work on are single family remodels, multi-family residential, and education while his favorite part of a project is the schematic design; when the project is discussed in sketches and gestures, mostly about form and relationships.
